How We Help

Haco is committed to provide help to the community through the given ways:

In the unlikely event of death of a family member of any of our community member or of acquaintance HACO will:

  • Donate Grave from the existing available graves.
  • Will cover the funeral costs by making payment to the funeral service providers.
  • Will donate Kafan & other items that go into the grave.
  • In cases of unnatural death were law enforcement agencies are involved HACO will bridge the gap between community & law enforcement agencies by community representation.
  • In rare conditions where the body needs to be shipped overseas HACO will help raise funds and assist the deceased’s family in facilitating & expediting the process.

Personal

  • HACO understands the loss and grief that the family members face when their beloved ones depart.
  • HACO represents the community & on behalf of the entire community will stand with the deceased’s family assisting in all possible ways to facilitate the family in overcoming adversity.
  • HACO is developing processes, mechanism & infrastructure to provide a dignified burial to any of its community members.
  • HACO is developing a single point database for burial process, information tool kits & works extensively in educating & mentoring the community to prepare for adversity.
  • HACO is developing a database of donors who are willing to donate graves to families in financial stress & not able to afford purchasing of graves & affording funeral costs.

Financial

  • HACO understands that not everybody is prepared to face tragic or sudden death.
  • HACO understands that majority of us are first generation migrants & single sibling families which makes it even more difficult to face such situation’s.
  • HACO is committed to provide help to the families undergoing financial stress and cannot afford to have a dignified burial.
  • HACO is developing a database of donors who are willing to donate graves to families in financial stress & not able to afford purchasing of graves & affording funeral costs.
  • HACO is developing processes & tools that will prepare us to generate required funding for the deceased’s family in an organised & structured manner.
  • HACO will conduct awareness & fund-raising campaigns which will enable it to purchase graves & park them to be used in emergencies. It will also assist families in rare conditions when the bodies have to be shipped overseas for burial.

Burial

  • HACO understands that the sudden demise of beloved ones is a very painful & stressful situation.
  • HACO understands that not everybody in the community has done the required research & prepared for death financially, legally, religiously & process awareness.
  • HACO stands committed in educating, creating awareness among the community to understand the processes, legality & financial costs involved in death.
  • HACO is developing processes, mechanism & infrastructure to provide a dignified burial to any of its community members.
  • HACO is developing a single point database for burial process, information tool kits & works extensively in educating & mentoring the community to prepare for adversity.
  • HACO is developing a database of donors who are willing donate graves to families in financial stress & not able to afford purchasing of graves & affording funeral costs.
  • HACO is working with all the international air carriers in understanding the requirements, processes & documentation required for shipping of the body for overseas burial.

Legal

  • HACO recognises that legal awareness among the community is very minimal & majority of the community is ignorant towards the complexities involved in post death legalities.
  • HACO realises that we as a community do not prepare ourselves & our better halves to face adverse situations & HACO works aggressively to bring change in this regard.
  • HACO has a vision to build a community which is resilient & robust to handle any adverse situation. We believe in working aggressively in bringing this change by educating & mentoring.
  • HACO is working extensively with CentreLink, Local Governments Authorities (LGA), community organisations, not for profit organisations & experienced community individuals who are willing to contribute in developing awareness & understanding of legality.

Criminal

  • In cases of unnatural death where law enforcement agencies are involved HACO will bridge the gap between community & law enforcement agencies by community representation.
  • HACO strongly believes that what we can achieve at a community level standing united cannot be achieved at an individual level.
  • HACO has a mission to bind the community, build the trust levels & build a united community by the community for the community.
  • HACO has a vision to build a community which is resilient & robust to handle any adverse situation. We believe in working aggressively in bringing this change by educating & mentoring.
  • HACO is in consultation with Victoria Police Priority Communities Division, which meets with peak bodies and community stakeholder organisations on a quarterly basis through formal ‘Portfolio Reference Groups’ in understanding & developing process that can bridge the gap between authorities & the community facilitating & expediting processes at both ends.

Mentoring

  • HACO identifies that ignorance is one of the major drawbacks in the community.
  • Unwillingness to learn & change is a major hurdle for community development in this ever changing & fast-moving world.
  • HACO encourages its community members in educating & mentoring themselves & their dependent families before tragedy strikes.
  • HACO will conduct regular seminars, awareness campaigns, develop process flow charts & conduct workshops to educate & mentor community members at regular intervals.
  • HACO will work extensively with Centre Link, Local Governments Authorities (LGA), community organisations, not for profit organisations & experienced community individuals who are willing to contribute in educating & mentoring community members.

      • HACO encourages the head of family to invest time to learn & understand the legality, financial costs & processes that are involved in case of deaths.
      • HACO encourages members to spend time discussing adversity & mentoring other family members in this regard. HACO is committed to assist any member of the community willing to learn & contribute to the best.

      • HACO will work extensively with CentreLink, Local Governments Authorities (LGA), community organisations, not for profit organisations & experienced community individuals who are willing to contribute in educating & mentoring community members.

HACO primary objective is to support the deceased’s family in the event of crisis to cope with the situation and help pass the painful journey with community support and ensure a dignified burial of the deceased, assist, support & stand with any member of the community & their families in adverse situations to face adversity bravely, pragmatically in a dignified manner:

  • Irrespective of his/her membership with our organisation.
  • Irrespective of his/her School of thought.
  • Irrespective of his/her Religious & Social Affiliation.
  • Irrespective of his/her Financial Situations.
  • Irrespective of his/her Social Acquaintance.
